Frequent Questions

Below are some of the questions we get asked the most. You can contact us if you need further clarification or more information.

What is a Life Coach?

A life coach is someone who is qualified to support, motivate, encourage, challenge and work through limiting beliefs or areas that are holding you back from achieving your desired outcomes and goals.

A life coach will actively listen to you and work with you on an action plan with personalised strategies to help you achieve your goals.

A coach will help you become accountable and monitor progress while celebrating successes and ‘a huh’ moments along the way.

What are the benefits of Life Coaching?

A life coach can help you begin to see clearly where you are and where you want to be and help you get there faster than doing it alone.

A life coach is committed to helping you reach your desired goals and will listen, encourage, and motivate you to get where you want to be.

What is Confidence Coaching?

A Confidence coach does the same thing as a life coach, but they specialise in supporting you to build confidence, overcoming fear, low self-esteem and working through limiting beliefs.

They will help you build the confidence you need to speak up, be yourself, request a promotion/pay raise or pursue your desires, whatever they may be.

What is a Wellness Coach?

A wellness coach will follow the same structure as a life coach; however, their area of expertise will be wellbeing. They will work with you on wellbeing goals, exploring current patterns and how these might be problematic and what it is you would need to start on your wellness journey.

They will follow your progress, help keep you focused, motivated and accountable to achieving your wellness goals.

What happens in a coaching session?

During each session, we will review actions set in the last session and the progress made. We will explore any stumbling blocks, what worked well, and what could have been done differently. We will look at general progress compared to your desired bigger goal and set a ‘session goal’.

We will work through this together exploring where you are, and what you need to get to the next milestone, stay on track during the week and also look at any obstacles using specialised techniques delving a little deeper to look at options you may not have thought of or considered.

Lastly, we will agree on action plans for the coming week and the level of accountability and commitment to achieving your desired outcomes.

How long does the coaching session last?

Life coaching, confidence coaching, and wellness sessions will all last approximately 50 minutes. The sessions can be weekly, fortnightly, monthly or 90 minutes power session depending on your desired goals.

Where do the coaching sessions take place?

Majority of coaching sessions will take place via telephone, virtual but one session can be arranged if you are within the London area.

What will I have to do during the coaching session?

Coaching works best when you have a positive attitude towards achieving your goals and you are open and honest about the coaching process.

You will need to show commitment to achieving your goals and taking the time needed to complete your actions. The process of change can be particularly challenging and takes time.

In order to see progress, you must allow yourself enough time to make the changes and also be willing to go through some periods of discomfort which may feel challenging but requires the changes that you desire.

Your coach will act as a guide, and accountability buddy, offering encouragement, reminders of accountability and motivation to keep going.

How is Coaching different from Counselling?

Coaching and counselling are similar in that both disciplines ask the client questions which may lead to self-exploration.

The coach guides you through the process of change and transformation looking at strategies and practical steps that you can apply towards achieving your goals whilst exploring limiting beliefs and other factors that may have held you back creating a sense of stuckness.

The significant difference is that Counselling is looking at the past and how this has influenced your behaviours and activities to date.

Coaching on the other hand is forward-thinking looking at where you presently are and where you would like to be.

Do you work with those under 18?

Yes, coaching can be beneficial at any age if you are willing and feel ready to engage with the coaching process.

Many young people report feeling more confident, improved self-esteem, improved sleep better relationship with family members/caters and overall improved school life balance after working with a coach.

Are you qualified and insured?
